<<I did manage to make a battery out of a fresh tube>>

Hey, now that was clever, Kelton. I like that a lot. In fact, that was the first time in my memory that anybody has reported results of a scientific experiment on SI.

I assume that means that there was some contact between the two cavities. Do you suppose that there could be sufficient contact just at the outlet of the tube? I would think that you would get some mixing right there.

I wonder if you could recharge the battery after it runs out, or if something nasty would happen when you hook up the power supply. An exploding toothpaste tube would be pretty funny.

If I ever come across a free tube, I think I'll try it myself. Unfortunately I've always found myself paying full price.
