$21.25, up 50 cents
Diamonds may be some girls' best friend, and shares of Dia Met were
undoubtedly some investors' best friend yesterday after Merrill Lynch
& Co. analyst Michael Curran reaffirmed his near-term "buy"
recommendation on the diamond producer's shares. Mr. Curran
predicts Dia Met stock could climb to $30.75 within the next 12
months. That's a rosy prospect for those who bought in a year ago at
$24.50 and held through last fall's market malaise that saw the shares
tumble as low as $15.15.
