Hey Jeff I'm glad you have some insight into the Allen Group!! This is an area we should focus on until we are very clear as to what is REALLY going on.

To me at this point...I don't see anything but an Allen power play to get two modem companies, the real purpose is unknown. It appears to me Hayes was struggling out of being bankrupt, then the 56K modem battle begone, AND they found themselves headed back down because ROK couldn't save them (no 56K chips). Along comes money bags (The Allen Group) and under the Vulcan name makes the play.

What their goal is I don't know. BUT it ain't to save Rockwell from doom...I wouldn't think. AND is Allen in control now? Dennis Hayes must now be just a share holder. And why would they be shutting down a modem plant when 56K is just starting out???

This 56k battle is getting to be a real WAR!!

Many questions to be answered,
