Oh, if you have the right attitude, just trapping and fishing can be good enough. Louisiana is teeming with wildlife. Ducks, pouldoux, doves, quail, shrimp, crabs, any kind of fish, rice, tomatoes, green peppers. It's probably not as much fun if you are a vegetarian, but you could make a living as a carpenter, or build houses. Too many jacklegs, they need good people.
I was born in Virginia, at the Naval base in Norfolk, my dad was drafted and decided to go into the Navy during Korean war. My parents were both born in Biloxi, but my father's father came from New Roads, Louisiana, and my dad went to dental school in Louisiana, and then we moved to Baton Rouge. My great great uncle started the dental school. |
