I was looking at the same stuff. If ROK is shipping chipsets by the end of the month (EXPECTS to ship?), then how much longer before the modem-makers have one in production?

I got a boot out of the "software fix" BS too. Sounds like ROK is talking outta both sides of their ass. Sounds bad and smells worse.

I also was struck by the timing of the Hayes announcement(s) and the ROK/MOT announcements. Looks like Ole Dennis covered his butt pretty good.

MOT sounded alot more troubled by the chip problems than ROK which tells me you're probably right about bad product in the channel.

I guess they should have delayed for another week or two to make sure they had it right.<g>

In the meantime what are Zoom and Boca gonna do? Sit on their hands and watch Robotics (and now Hayes) eat the rest of their lunch? I bet we see more defectors to the x2 camp.(my bet is still Zoom)
