Hi everyone--I am new to this thread. I began investing in early 1996, and as of last January had become horribly addicted to daytrading to where I lost all my money and over 10,000 dollars of my partners money without even realizing it till it was too late. I had never been any type of gambler before the stock market/internet craze. Question: Do we have any legal recourse to sue the brokerage for lack of fiduciary duty in allowing a client to continuously sustain heavy losses over and over again via frequent trading? Can't they warn clients that they may be developing an addction based on trading patterns? Any help is appreciated. I lost my life's savings--and I truly feel that this could and should have been prevented by the brokerage.
