Jeff, David, Scrapps and all;

The 10 or so day delay in releasing x2 is looking pretty damn smart now. I'm sure the current ROK fiasco is exactly what USR was trying so hard to avoid. In hindsight I have to respect USR's decision to not release x2 prematurely despite tremendous pressure. The standard answer given by by USR's IR department during the delay was something like "we want to make sure that we ship the best, highest quality product possible". Apparently, ROK just wanted to ship anything that they could label 56k whether it worked or not to give the appearance of having "closed the gap". As I have stated many times and continue to believe, x2's lead over ROK is going to end up being larger than intially thought not smaller. This will become more evident as ISP's start offering x2 support and people get bug riddled ROK based modems with nowhere to go. Just my $.02 worth.

P.S. Where's the best place to pick up a new backlit PalmPilot at a good price?? I will score big points with the wife if I pick one up for her <g>.

Regards,

FF
