Actually there are real life CEO's that do just that. The one that comes to mind is the famous or infamous (depending on where you happen to be standing) "Chain-Saw" Al Dunlap. If you look at what he has done for Sunbeam's share price which was in pathetic shape it has apppreciated in price miraculously. He has still bought shares in this company at these even higher prices.

Oh yeah, Sunbeam is one of the few stocks that Stan Weinstein was recommending on the Nightly Business Report television show tonight. Weinstein also does not like the bank stocks or financial stocks, or the bond market, which he had liked on his previous visit to the Nightly Business Report show about 6 or 12 months ago.

In order to get the stock market's attention the new CEO will have to purchase NOVL's stock in the millions of dollars in value. That is what lands you in the Weds. Wall Street Journal "Insiders" feature.

But at this point this is fantansy! I would rather have a buy-out for a decent price per share and get over it, than to relie on the next quarter, the next new products, the next CEO, and on and on.

These officers and directors have no shame. If so, they would have had the dignity to resign by now based upon their failing report card from the stock market.
