TRIT MONTREAL, Quebec--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 2, 1999--Triden Telecom Inc. (OTC BB:TRIT) and Marfitech Ltd., a Montreal-based internet development company, have signed a letter of intent regarding the merger of the two companies. Marfitech Ltd., an internet development company presently working on a travel-industry platform that will allow it to become a major internet portal within a short timeframe, confirmed the news today. Marc Bouchard, vice-president of Marfitech Ltd. announced the signing of the letter of intent with Triden Telecom Inc. The terms of the agreement have not been disclosed, Bouchard stated that: "This will create an enormous opportunity for Marfitech Ltd. and for Triden Telecom Inc., by enabling Triden Telecom Inc. to increase shareholder value, and for Marfitech Ltd. to be able to adequately fund its development."
