All I know is, for the first time in history, Intel won't have the fastest bus speed or the best FPU setup. I'm kind of worried about my INTC (not really, don't own enough). Intel's biggest chance at continued glory is if no major vendors other than Compaq pick up on the K7. Of course, if Compaq's K7 sales were brisk, everyone would want a piece.
