RE: GNSS

THIRD QUARTER 1999 REVIEW From "Yorktown Securities Inc."

Genesis Microchip reported results for Q3/99 (ended February 28), with
revenues of $11.5 million versus our estimate of $10.7 million. EPS were $0.13
fully taxed, fully diluted.

Genesis continues to grow rapidly.

* Industry and company outlook are strong.

* Stock remains undervalued.

* We believe Genesis is admirably positioned as the dominant supplier in an
industry that will have a mature market size measured in billions of dollars.

Strong results, largely due to better-than-anticipated performance in the LCD
flat panel market.

* Flat panel shipments were ahead of our expectations in terms of unit volume.
Over 275,000 flat panels shipped with Genesis products in this quarter.
Paradise, the company Genesis will be acquiring soon, shipped 125,000 units
this quarter.

* Flat panel revenue was $7.4 million, up materially quarter over quarter. Q2
revenue was $5.6 million. Both revenues and unit levels exceeded our
expectations.

* Projection revenue exceeded our expectations; this comprised 22% of total
revenue. High-end imaging was 10% of revenues, with the rest being made up
by consumer video and miscellaneous.
