If you want my opinion...

there is an important report due out tomorrow about job growth in May. If growth is strong then it is a signal the Fed will raise interest rates at their meeting later this month.

but the market may have already factored in a 1/4 point increase in interest rates. If so then this is just a pause, and tomorrow announcement will be a formality.

bank stocks are particularly sensitive to interest rate hikes since this directly affects the banks product offerings such as CDs, etc.

I think NTBK is a buy under $34, but I haven't yet put my money where my mouth is.

In addition to jobs date tomorrow, there is the possibility of an online brokerage buying NetBank which would be great. Ameritrade's ceo is on NetBank's board so this has been the subject of speculation.
