Good post. In 1997 VIA had revenues of $152mill and shipped 15% of chipsets by unit count. Acer Labs and Silicon Integrated Systems are the other big players (outside Intel's 70%) They are a little over half of VIAs size.

VIA is a PC133 ringleader, check out their website for some good insight to who the players are and what they are up to.
