It is no accident that Roundup Ready is the best system for soybeans, of all possible crops. Weeds are the number one problem with soy, and this could be even more of a problem in somewhere like Brazil.
Note the mention of using only one herbicide, instead of three. This means no soil-based herbicide, which is more toxic, and has carryover problems.
So, big benefits for both farmers, and the Brazilian environment. Greenpeace doesn't look very bright, even to other environmentalists.
