MSFT should report much better than analysts project. That is probably the gameplan to ensure continued gains in its stock price. I goofed. I had planned to buy my July options around now---with a little bit of negative news about the trial. Instead I got impatient feeling the stock might move out of sight for a reasonable chance in July options--bought late Tuesday (when the stock was just under 79). The news about the ongoing settlement talks also made me speed up my plan. It is tough to time the market. In any case, next week will be big on the product and events front--Windows CE conference and Office2k release. Still very optimistic leading into the July earnings release. Performance at trial has improved also. I just hope MSFT doesn't screw up with its own friendly witnesses.
