VLNC longs are very excited.

It seems an article in Wireless Week has mentioned that Samsung has used LiPoly batteries, and is considering more. Somebody from VLNC is quoted in the same article, so the presumption is that VLNC must be selling batteries to Samsung.

wirelessweek.com

Interesting, I note that Samsung claims to already have used LiPoly batteries in one of the phones it sells domestically. Couldn't have been VLNC batteries, because that would have shown up as actual sales and earnings to VLNC. Probably would have provoked a flurry of press releases too.

Conclusion: Samsung is interested in LiPoly, but apparently has sourced them from somebody other than VLNC. The observation that they WILL buy them from VLNC because of the Korean cement-maker partnership appears to be pure conjecture and speculation.

The fact that VLNC was quoted in the article is probably the result of a good PR person, trying to link the two.

If you believe the quotings on that thread, Wolanchuk is already stating that there's a deal in the works...
