No problem with your shorthand, I understand the point. But most of those subs currently belong to NTT and they will do what they can to hold onto them in the near term. The important point is that 3 years or so from now the whole bloody country will be on some variation of cdma - or at least heading there very fast.

Gregg says he has modeled some 3G deployment speeds that result in incredible earnings figures for Q. My crude calculations show the same thing. The 'fight' against GSM is really over, Tero's continuing garbage notwithstanding. I know I am preaching to the choir here, but anyone with a time horizon longer than a year or so should try to figure out what Q's maximum EPS potential in, say, 2003 might be. Its an eye opener.
