Forgive me for flogging this dead horse, but your statement

Q receives exactly the same amount of money in royalty fees whatever flavor of 3rd gen CDMA is used, WCDMA or CDMA2000

is true only if the current ITU backed 3-mode standard is agreed upon.

Remove the DS mode (WCDMA) from the standard and the Q receives more of the pie.
Remove the MS mode (cdma2000) and the Q receives less of the pie.

With both modes as apart of the standard you are correct. Q receives the same cash regardless of the flavor.
