Well! I am (almost) struck dumb by the response. I'm sorry if I implied I didn't appreciate the technical information, generally supplied on a very high intellectual plane - I AM grateful and that is why I have lurked here for the past 2 or 3 years. It is definitely one of the better forums in SI - what I, and I think, Andreas, were objecting to WAS the noise, and, as I said before, the childish bantering which add nothing to the value of the board. I'm sorry if I have intruded on some sort of exclusive club of chip experts, but I will continue to lurk (silently). Jim W.
