I could not agree more - my target is $4+ (hoping to add a couple ++ as 1999 progresses - Nasdaq listing represents one of them, not necessarily the first one). A couple more significant contracts for installations, particularly on the new middleware product, and the momentum will start building (both in terms of sales revenue and investor awareness). Q2 1999 vs. Q2 1998 should continue to reflect the growth stage the company is now in and the profit potential as middleware sales add to the bottom line.

Any thoughts on the degree to which the middleware product will leverage additional installations of ASI's Time and Attendance product and vice versa?

The only negative I can come up with is the fact that neither earnings nor potential earnings are reflected in the stock price. Like you said, I guess its a buying opportunity for those with ASI on the radar screen.
