On one of my last trips to New York, I was taken to a restaurant that was an old speakeasy. No menus. The waiters were all older, gruff Italian men with jerseyesque accents, who recited the rather lengthy menu to you in relatively strident tones. Don't make the mistake of asking for a repeat.
