I do keep wondering in what context Templeton came out with that comment because, as I said, he usually declines to be quite that specific, usually adding, "I don't know which way it is going to go." Two years ago he siad something like , "History has shown that bear markets amounting to a 40% drop are to be expected." Instead we had maybe a 40% rise.

Now he is --it sounds like--being more definite about the when.
