Jon, I was on the phone and Email with Preferred half the day yesterday trying to find out why their YTD P/L, and commissions didn't jive with mine. I bought a stock in Dec. sold it jan 6th. the figures they had was way off of my figures. They said part went on '98 and part on '99. Great for tax reporting. Another thing is that they jumble the stock and options on the same company together. You have to keep good records at the time of the execution, and report your figures. Of course they don't give you the exact commission figure till the next day. You either have to go in and change the commission that you guessed at or put the trade into your records the next day. I also just spent 6 weeks trying to have another account from Discover transferred to them. Let me know if you find a broker with similar fees and ease of use. Sorry about the OT, but I finally found your post, and had to blow off some steam that's been building on this Broker for some time. Thanks, you can wring out your towel now. <ggg>
