Maybe I'm missing something but, with respect, the company may have the greatest technology in the world but a garage sale is a garage sale, whichever way you look at it.

Auction sites are becoming a dime a dozen and there are more web sites than you can shake a stick at which will search out the best price for a buyer on anything from Levi's to inkjet cartridges.

Godin realizes there's nothing in it for him on the retail-to-retail side of the business. After the novelty of the declining price auctions start to wear off, you're left with the inescapable conclusion that the merchandise selection is rather pedestrian.

The company is redirecting its focus on the business-to-business market and while not openly admitting it, seems to be slowly but surely moving away from retailing, along with its disappointing prospects for growth and earnings.

It's not exactly a "bet the company" strategy but were it not for the focus on business-to-business sales, this company would be dead in the water. There isn't much of a window to get established as a player on the business side but if the company can pull it off, you'll see a strong rebound in price from its current level.

If not, there's always a takeover possibility, however remote, if the price drops to a level ($5<) where another company will take a flier on BII's technology.
