Silvio,

The internet is still at its infancy, and yes auction companies are a dime a dozen as are many other services on the net. The time will come when a select few will succeed and the rest will be history. It is still difficult for investors to discern which will be around five years from now and which may be gone in five months.

EBAY seems to stand out because it was among the first. Is there room in this continent for more than one EBAY??? I think there is. Does BIDS have a chance of being around in five years?? Probably! At the price it's selling at, it might be worth the risk.

As far as problems with the live auction, you must keep in mind that changes will be occurring in the Hardware side of the internet. 56K modems will soon be history. The new 1 meg modems or Cable modems will resolve many of the problems experienced when viewing such things as the live auction. And very soon even cable and the 1 meg modem will be replaced by newer faster technology. Did Ford stop building cars because the Model T could only go 25 mph??
