Lawsuits are expensive, but markets tend to overreact. Multiply today's decline in intc by intc's market float, and you will see that "the market" has attached an unreasonably high cost to the lawsuit. Or perhaps it's not just cost of the lawsuit -- perhaps to some extent, it's an admission of weakness by intc; some people had been assuming that amd/cyrix are too insignificant to even show up on intel's radar.
