Greenspan, l believe has learned his lesson (Baptism by fire) not to be so quick on the rate trigger. If you recall, early in his appointment as Fed. Governor he had to reverse himself and lower rates, after having raised them just months earlier, after he falsely judged inflation and economic strength and realized he had precipitated the unintended severe recession of 91.
