1. actually there was the question about employees and hj commented on the importance of employing people, and that the number of employees to $$$ was not very important.

2. i knew hj focused on the long term (very good), but by not meeting the number, this could easily effect ntop ipo price and demand. how do you justify the price of ntop if idtc is valued at less than 700 million?

mgmt by not being concerned enough to meet the .08, has damaged not only the short term price of idtc, but possibly the acceptance and future of ntop.

3. clearly idtc could have scaled back growth or employee expansion for a q, to meet the earnings number, and then continued the expansion after the q. in this case hj actually misses the long term negative effects of his short term decisions. missing 2 of the last 3 q's does not endear one to shareholders and possibly those who would invest in your company or want to form deals with you.

i would argue that hj has broken his rule of looking for the long term by missing the earnings number for a few employees and some buildout that could waited 2 months more. hj needs to expand his thought horizon to view the bigger picture and what occurs to many others because he decided not to hold off hiring temporarily, and meeting the obligations idtc had made to vast amount of shareholders and those leaving to start ntop.
