Thanks for the compliment, SC, and let's look at what you said, ok?
YOU SAID: It's not they. It's him. When management team after management team departs or resigns you've got ot look a little deeper than just they.
TSIG is today exactly where it is because of bad decisions. Just bad decisions. And the same guy is still making the decisions for tomorrow
MY RESPONSE: RG and TSIG is not unique in making bad decisions. Even FORTUNE 500 companies like Compaq or Apple for years made really stupid decisions. Compaq should never have bought DEC. It's an albatross around their necks. Apple should never have hired John Scully or other CEO's who did not "get it".
RG made some mistakes, but unlike you, I admire RG for getting back to basics. That, I believe, is the RIGHT DECISION.....and it is very hard and even embarrassing to admit that his company's business focus was wrong these past few months. So I respect him for "Cutting his losses", a very hard but smart thing to do, imo.
I also think that some of these other talented people who have left or beeen forced out, may have had great ideas, or may have just cleverly "SOLD" their ideas to RG. He may have said "you've got 3 months to prove yourself" or something similar.
Anyway, as a result the company was going through cash way too quickly and was too unfocused. At least that is the way I understand it.
***** In short, maybe RG made some bad decisions in the past, but I believe that he made a VERY VERY VERY GOOD decision to go back to the MyMusicCard focus.
For me, the future is what is important now. I need to speak to RG personally and ascertain my feelings for certain though. |
