J.T. -- I like the concept of the Market Index Technical Analysis - MITA thread. I'm going to follow this thread for a while and see what develops. If I have any positive contributions, I'll post them.

Here is some information that might be helpful. Here's the URL to CBSMarketWatch.com's Industry Indexes:

cbs.marketwatch.com

If you click on the industry index ticker symbol (for example, XAL) you can get a detailed quote on the index and charts. If you click on the name of index (for example, Airline (AMEX)) you get a list of the components stocks that make up the index, along with quotes, charts, etc.

Also, J.T. -- Since you've mentioned options strategies, could you add the S & P 100 Index (OEX) to your Market Laboratory Report. The S & P 100 Index has the greatest option trading volume. It is the most liquid options market. Also, the CBOE Volatility Index (VIX), which is a helpful indicator for index options trading and other purposes, is a derivative of OEX options. Thanks.
