Just curious, what is the basis for your comments? Every pharmaceutical company, that I've followed, has trended upward after the release of their first product. Why do you think AGPH is going down?
Granted, during the past week, it has acted like a hot IPO. Over half of the outstanding shares have traded in the past week. Considering that no one can own more than 15% (the poison pill) and that the last time I checked no one actually owned more than 4%, I can think of only two reasons why the stock has moved down.
1) Agouron itself has been selling more stock from it's intial public offering. That is, they are generating cash to launch the product. This of course would be a legitimate business activity.
2) There is someone out there manipulating the stock price. That is, using a small number of shares, traded frequently, to force the price down. My broker made the comment yesterday, that "someone will be arrested over this sell-off".
If in fact, someone is trying to "steal" the stock at rock bottom prices, then the daily prices do not represent the true value of the stock. My investment club is long on AGPH and most of the members as well. Though, the sell off worried most of us, none of us would consider selling.
I would like to get a better picture of the positions of the people on the string. Did you sell this past week? If you didn't sell, let us know as well!
Obviously all the rumors about problems were totally unfounded. All the rumors about delays were totally unfounded. All the rumors about Merck, Roche, the FDA, etc - Totally Unfounded. The activities concering the "analyst" - totally unfounded. Now BOTH Paine Weber and Morgan Stanley have "buys" on AGPH.
I'm going to send a second message with a short survey. |
