Screen saver ...

Good tip! I certainly didn't know that. I use Win98, and have discovered that my system's much more stable with NO screen saver(s) active. The power management feature of my system turns the screen off after a few moments anyway. Combining APM with a screen saver probably causes some contention for resources.

For the 'privacy' thing, go into explorer and find the screen saver you like. Create a shortcut for it and put the shortcut in the 'Quick Launch' area of your toolbar, where it's only a click away. Don't forget to right-click and set the properties to something more personal than the Win98 defaults. (My scrolling marqee says "Please come back and do some work!", while my 3D-Text displays the current time.)

Again, thanks for the tip. By following this thread, I seem to learn new things daily.

Cheerios, PW.
