Great move to put the software into the most hands, even at a discount. WRS may become omnipresent in the Internet appliance growth market and with it's young startup types. Of course, this is a bet on dramatically increasing run times. If it works out, run time profit will more than make up for the loss of license revenues.

This move also answers some debate on this thread a while back about product pricing and barriers to entry for RTOS vendors. If WRS gets its software out fast and cheap enough, it will build its brand name in the market quickly. It already has more than 50% of the market. WRS may become the best and the Coolest and the cheapest RTOS around. Who needs MSFT? Does anyone have any price comparisons for Windows CE?
