David, Wouldn't you agree that the Siemens biometric smartcard system passage you posted seems to endorse Identix F3 technology? I guess it is the best of both worlds when you control the two best technologies competing to become the standard - IDX F3 technology with a microprocessor and memory in the scanner and minutiae-based IDT scanner with the templates stored in a central repository.
