Re: "then what's his purpose?" Greenspan (excessive exuberance) has been known to make judgements based on stock market growth. His purpose should be to maintain a strong and healthy economy but he has shown signs of worries about individual market wealth. He alluded to this last week in a statement when he said market wealth can be viewed as inflationary (not an exact quote). Whether he's right or wrong I do not profess to know but it does create worries to market moving investors. TTOSBT
