I agree. But IRS rules are different for blocks bought the same day. If u buy 100 at 10 and next 100 at 20 ON THE SAME DAY, wour price is $15 for 200. Now next day if u sell 100 at 12, you can legally take a loss of $3, even though your first purchase warrants a profit of $2.
