Joel, Buy energy stocks first- OS stocks will pick up in latter half of 99. RIG needs proof of upturn in day contacts before it will zoom. Energy companies on the other hand are seeing big, big dollars right now drop to the bottom line with recent increases in price of oil & gas.

Here in software stocks, the quality companies including BMCS seem to be following a pattern- panic based upon Y2K impacts upon revenues for the next couple of quarters, drops in price of stock of 40-50%, stabilization, and then an uptrend. ORCL did it first, then BMCS, then RMDY- I bought into CSGS for the same reason- same pattern now let's see if CSGS follows its quality software company brethren and sisters. Playing patterns like this is how I usually manage to make a good trade in the market.... BTW I still hold BMCS, ORCL, but sold RMDY to pay for a run at CSGS FWIW....
