FWIW my feelings are that your comments DO belong here and should be discussed here.

IMHO that this initial, small volume (20K Unit) product distribution is intended by both HAUP and WAVX as a slow ramp-up, limited, live audience beta test. Steven Sprague has indicated such. I think that their intent is to both work the bugs out of the systems and operations and to identify the issues and parameters that have to be considered in more widespread deployments, and to validate their own ideas of what issues must be addressed.

IMHO that they want feedback on every consideration that anyone sees as pertinent.

Regarding the pricing of the games, it seems to me that some time ago it was indicated that Wave foresaw a free initial period where one could get enough exposure to the game to decide whether or not to pursue it. It may be that the "pay from first minute" requirement came from the content providers. I agree that it is something that should receive serious consideration for changing back to the original concept.
