Senetek PLC Acquires Option Rights to Rutgers University Research in Female Sexual Dysfunction
and Pain Management

NAPA, Calif., June 4 /PRNewswire/ -- Senetek (Nasdaq: SNTKY) announced
today that it has secured option rights to research conducted in Female Sexual
Dysfunction and Pain Management at Rutgers, The State University. The work
centers around certain peptide fragments and was done by Drs. Barry R.
Komisarik and Beverly Whipple, who in 1982 wrote the book, "The G-Spot and
Other Recent Discoveries About Human Sexualities," as well as Dr. Frank
Jordan. All three are currently professors at the University.
The agreement calls for an undisclosed upfront payment, granting Senetek
the sole rights to conduct additional testing. There is a one time option to
renew for a single additional three month period. A U.S. patent for the
analgesia application was filed by Rutgers University and approved on
June 20, 1995. A patent application relating to female sexual dysfunction has
been submitted to the U.S. patent office, but has not yet been granted.
"We are very pleased to enter into collaboration with Rutgers University
on these two projects," stated Frank Massino, Chief Executive Officer of
Senetek PLC. "Both therapeutic categories offer enormous potential and are
consistent with Senetek's mission to develop products for enhancing one's
quality of life. While the research is in the preliminary stage, overall
positive reviews by our scientific community led us to our decision."
