I think I know what you mean when you say that the type of investor changes as a stock goes up. Is this what you mean?

If the stock has been accumulated on the move from 1 to 3, based on evidence that the deposit is going to be economic, then the current correction is a buying opportunity. The smart money knows higher prices are ahead.

However, if the move from 1 to 3 was created by a promotion that distributed shares to less sophisticated people or in other words, people lower in the food chain, then this may be negative with respect to the prospects for future price increase.

In my view, there's lots of evidence to suggest that this deposit may not be economic at current prices so doesn't it follow that case two above is more likely to be correct?
