Business Wire - June 04, 1999 11:30

CLEARWATER, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 4, 1999--NVID International, Inc. (OTC
BB:NVID) announced Friday that its wholly owned subsidiary, Aqua Bio Technologies, Inc. (ABT)
has installed an ionic silver disinfection Random Metering System (RMS) at the Hospital General De
Mexico.

Hospital General De Mexico is located in the heart of Mexico City, and was originally built in 1919
and has grown to a 6,000 bed facility which makes it one of the largest hospitals in all of Latin
America. The RMS unit will disinfect all incoming water to the hospital for microbiological and
Legionella control, and for the removal of bio-film on the piping distribution system. Total water
volume consumed and to be treated is estimated at 850,000 liters per day. The unit measures 5.5' x 5'
x 1.6' and weights 120 lbs. All components are shock mounted for rough handling and can be moved
via helicopter or truck. The unit can be removed and reinstalled in less than an hour and can disinfect
864,000 liters of water per day. The system requires a 110/220 volt power supply.

This installation was requested by the Salud De Ambiental (Mexican Environmental Health
Department) and was installed on a semi-permanent basis. Salud De Ambiental wanted a water
disinfection system that could be removed from its present location, easily transported, and reinstalled.
The unit will have a dual role of disinfecting the water for Hospital General De Mexico and will also be
used as an emergency system to disinfect water in the event of a disaster affecting the potable water of
a municipality.

Additionally, Dr. Gustavo Olaiz Fernandez, Director General of Salud De Ambiental, requested a
55-gallon drum of AXEN concentrate for test purposes. This request was received in conjunction with
a presentation made to the Mexican Government by ABT personnel in April 1999 on the subject of
how AXEN could be used to disinfect drinking water in remote Mexican villages. Salud De Ambiental
will test AXEN as a liquid disinfectant replacement for chlorine (sodium hypochlorite) while still utilizing
existing chlorine dispensing equipment.

NVID manufactures and distributes chlorine-free, ionic silver disinfection water systems (RMS). The
RMS system manufactures silver ions as its biocide in an ion-laden concentrate, which is then precisely
injected, via dosing pumps, into the water to be treated. The systems are capable of disinfecting up to
1,400 liters per second on a one-pass basis. The Company has also developed a product called Axen,
which is an aqueous disinfectant formulation based upon ionization stabilization technology. The
purpose of such a product would be to compete with traditional disinfectants that utilize chemicals such
as chlorine, phenols, and quaternary ammonium. The product will be used as a hard surface
disinfectant, biocide treatment for cooling towers, dental water line disinfection, as well as for various
drinking water applications.
