AMD didn't take 16 months to fall. In Oct. of 1995 alone it went from 35 to 21, a -40%. Then by the end of 1995 it dropped another 24%. In the last 3 months of 1995 it dropped a total of 55% or a 23% drop per month! I promptly bought at the not-so-low average of $18.5/sh at the beginning of 1996, only to see it drop another 45% by July of 1996 and chase it down to $10. So much for my cant-go-lower argument. But then it didn't go any lower, and the rest is history.
