Dow Jones Newswires -- June 4, 1999 DJ Gruntal's Battipaglia: Employment Data 'Inconclusive' NEW YORK (Dow Jones)--Joe Battipaglia, chief investment officer at Gruntal & Co., said Wall Street is reacting positively to the employment data because it is "inconclusive." Appearing on CNBC Friday, Battipaglia emphasized market watchers now will be focused on the Federal Reserve meeting in late June. Battipaglia also said he anticipates the Fed not being aggressive on rates, and second-quarter earnings to be "explosive." And that combination could lead to new market highs, he added. Additionally, his stock picks were Pfizer Inc. (PFE), Northwest Airlines Corp. (NWAC) and Lucent Technologies Inc. (LU). BEST WISHES BILL
