Are you interested in going to CeBIT ? I will pay for the gas and drive, just get yourself to Heidelberg.<<

Can you guys swing by and pick me up? I'll go roam around the Castle for awhile and you can meet me just off the Market Platz at the Beer Museum..

If I recall there's a little history in Heidelberg:

555,000 B.C "Homo Heidelbergensis" lower jaw of prehistortic man, oldest Eurpoean find of human bones discovered at Mauer near Heidelberg in 1907.

80 A.D. Roman bridge and Roman fortress in Heidelberg Neuenheim.

1196 Heidelberch officially mentioned for the first time.

1225 Offical mention of a fortress in Heidelberg.

1303 Official documents mention the existance of two castles in Heidelberg; and upper fortress on Gaisberg (todays Molkenkur) and the other on Jettenbuhl site of the present ruins.

In America they would have torn the castle down and built Condominiums.
