Golden Arch negotiating for marketing rights to battery management tool
Golden Arch Resources Ltd GAI Shares issued 21,116,358 1999-06-03 close $0.07 Friday Jun 4 1999 Mr. Richard Watson reports Pursuant to letters of intent exchanged today, Golden Arch has entered negotiations regarding a new technology, and intends to commence marketing and distribution efforts of a unique electronic battery management tool created to extend the performance life of lead storage batteries. The favourable environmental applications of the technology are considered to be enormous insofar as 78 million automotive, marine, lead acid, gel cell and deep cycle batteries were replaced last year in the United States. The patent pending device is trademarked. The finished product is low-cost, comes with a strong performance guarantee, and a five-year, no-hassle warranty. Marketing is expected to be channeled through national retailers who have expressed interest. If an agreement is finalized, first Canadian deliveries are expected to start within 120 days. European distribution of the device is expected to commence in the first quarter of 2000. Limited quantities have already been made available and marketed in the United States. The cost of the new electronic device is less than the replacement cost of a good quality car battery. The device is the first of a new generation of "computer-on-a-chip" units which automatically charge any type 12 volt storage battery, without ever overcharging, while conditioning "sulphated" batteries. Dubbed the "charger with a brain", it is believed to be the first charger of its kind to reverse the primary cause of early battery failure known as "sulphation". Some batteries that would not take a charge and are considered unrecoverable can now be brought back to long-term useful condition. It should be noted while the company has in hand a letter of intent, there are no guarantees that current negotiations will result in an agreement being finalized. |
