This could be great news for 3dfx!!! Assuming that Voodoo4 should be shipping by October (6-month product cycle), 3dfx could dominate the high-end during the Christmas season and Camino launch. Joel Sharkey makes a correction to his proposed shipping date on the NV-10: <<NVIDIA NV10 Amendment In yesterday's report on NVIDIA's NV10, I may have misled you when I stated that the chipset was going to be out by October of this year. The chip is due to sample to OEMs by October and will be 'out' (in terms of retail units) by Christmas or even later in January 2000. >>
