Barb - according to the Texas State Codes Annotated - the legal definition of a felon - one who has been CONVICTED of a felonious act. Not convicted - not a felon. case closed, end of sentence. Committing a felony and going through trial, found not guilty or acquitted or plead out prior to any conviction - NOT GUILTY - ergo - not a felon. As a matter of fact, same definition is true in California - look at OJ - look at Clinton, etc. Heritage Dictionary is for laymen and facilitated access for the masses. To get specific - you need to reference the specific field definitions - ie: physics definitions on relativity and spatial manifestations - you would find in SCIENCE specific and MATH specific texts; LEGAL definitions and actions - in the Jurisprudence classification, et cetera et cetera. I am a member of the State Bar of Texas so I know from whence I speak, at least as of the latest case filed .... could change with clintonistas in office and utilization of "whatever is for the greater good" socialist dictionaries, yada yada... Would anyone on this board care to answer pertinent questions ON THE COMPANY? DUH Thanks, Jacalyn
