US Federal Protective Service Expands Order for ALYA's System

Vancouver, BC – June 4, 1999 - ALYA International Inc. ("ALYA" or the "Company") announced today that Teng Construction L.L.C.("Teng") has received an order from the United States Federal Protective Service to expand the Alya Open Centrix access control system installed on the perimeter of the E. M. Dirksen Federal Courthouse to include internal protection for the Federal Judges on a floor by floor basis. The installation includes the demolition of the existing elevator access control system.

"This expanded order is a validation from the GSA (Government Services Administration) of ALYA's technology,"said Douglas Corbett, President for ALYA International, "and we fully expect on-going orders from the Government as they move to protect government employees with "state of the art" technology while at the same time providing an energy saving infrastructure based upon Echelon"s LonWorks technology," said Mr. Corbett.

ALYA expects to receive a further order in the next few days from Teng for 2 additional federal buildings, also in Chicago.
