"..... In his keynote address, Apple Computer's Gilbert Amelio suggested that the Internet World Show had the hopeful, excited feel similar events for the PC industry had a decade ago. 'All around us here we see possible futures .... There's something nostalgic about the mood of this show.' No one knows better than Apple how badly some people can get hurt when the world stops focusing on promise and starts focusing on more mundane things, like sales and profits."
