June 99 Wired magazine (7.06, cover bragging obnoxiously about the performance of the Wired Index) has an interesting take on the BN story. The main thrust is that BN is scrambling to put together a strategy that will allow them to compete online. IMO Wired articles are often of the mindset that any problem can be solved by throwing enough technology at it. Given that, and the fact that the BN article isn't very positive, BN's online future looks bleak from this article's standpoint.

There is also an interesting article in the same issue called _Ethernet at 60,000 Feet_ that talks about companies providing wireless telecoms from planes. Not as wacky as it sounds.
